“Diana is a content creator” – Bahati defends wife after Lenana school unrest interview backlash

Musician Kevin Bahati has come to the defence of his wife, content creator Diana Marua, following online backlash over her interview involving Morgan about the Lenana School unrest.

Speaking during a side interview at the official launch of Kamba festivals on Wednesday night, June 3, 2026, Bahati dismissed criticism directed at Diana, insisting that she was simply acting in her professional capacity as a content creator.

Bahati further stated that the situation escalated online before they had fully understood what was happening. He noted that the video was later pulled down after concerns were raised.

Mimi, I saw later that Diana is a content creator; she is very spontaneous; she is very random, so we saw later when people were calling and she pulled down the video,” Bahati said.

The singer, speaking about the recent unrest witnessed in various schools, urged students to be cautious when engaging in protests or strikes, warning that such actions can sometimes escalate beyond expectations.

He added that students only have a limited time in school, but the choices they make during that period can shape their future.

“You are only in school for four years and you are planning to live like for 70 years, if you make use of the years you are in school, it will create a foundation that will protect you in the next years that you will live,” Bahati stated.
