Salvation Healing Ministry founder Pastor Victor Kanyari has explained why he enjoys receiving praise and admiration from ordinary Kenyans, saying people with little money are often more appreciative than the wealthy.
Speaking in a TikTok video on Thursday June 4, 2026, the televangelist reflected on his interactions with people from different economic backgrounds, arguing that those who are less privileged are usually more vocal when expressing gratitude and appreciation.
According to Kanyari, he often encounters people who are not well off financially but still take time to shower him with praise and compliments.
“And the people who are not well off often keep praising a person like me. And they say, ‘Oh wow, you are so rich and you have a lot of money.’ And I say yes, feeling so happy,” he said.
The pastor went on to explain that he finds such interactions uplifting because the individuals genuinely express their admiration without holding back.
Kanyari further claimed that people with less money tend to be more appreciative than wealthy individuals, especially when they receive assistance or support.
“And you know another good thing with people who do not have money, they will also make you happy. The rich will never heap praises on you, but the low-class people, just give them a little and they will keep singing your name,” he added.
